<br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that Michael Swords MICBABL
<br />request for rezoning from R-4 to R-2 at 1720 Hamline SWORDS
<br />Avenue North be approved with the condition that the
<br />special assessment be deferred to such time as the
<br />property is rezoned other than R-1 or R-2. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Cushman, P. Johnson, Maschka, Thomas, and V.
<br />Johnson. Nays: None.

<br />Thomas moved, CUshman seconded, that Calibre Ridge CALIBRE RIDGI
<br />partnership request for Planned unit Development Plan PARTHBRSBIP
<br />Amendment and General concept Plan at 2231 Rice street
<br />be approved with the following conditions:
<br />
<br />1. That a revised parking plan be approved. by city
<br />staff to reflect the concern about the balance of
<br />parking spaces for Buildings 3 and 4.
<br />
<br />2. That the Eng~neering staff approve the final
<br />design of the water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer,
<br />and hydrants, and approve the required new ease-
<br />ment locations and descriptions.
<br />
<br />3. That the developer secure a Letter of Credit or
<br />bond for the full value of a fence. The city
<br />council may, at its sole discretion, require the
<br />construction of a fence on the entire northern
<br />and western perimeter of the pr9ject one year
<br />after the final certificate of Occupancy has been
<br />issued on all units.

<br />Thomas moved, Cushman seconded, that Resolution 8817, RESOLUTIOK
<br />approving the vacation of the drainage easement at 8817
<br />2228 and 2234 Rosewood Lane North, be adopted. Roll
<br />Call, Ayes: Cushman, P. Johnson, Maschka, Thomas, and
<br />V. Johnson. Nays: None.

<br />ORGANIZATIOKAL BUSINESS
<br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that a City Council COUNCIL WORK
<br />work session be established for Wednesday, August 12, SESSION
<br />1992, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the city Hall for the
<br />purpose of meeting with the Planning Commission to
<br />review sign ordinance changes. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />CUshman, P. Johnson, Maschka, Thomas, and V. Johnson.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
<br />P. Johnson moved, CUshman seconded, that Richard RICHARD
<br />Simmons request for variance at 1831 W. county Road C SIMMONS
<br />be continued to the regular city Council meeting of
<br />September 28, 1992. Roll Call, Ayes: CUshman, P.
<br />Johnson, Maschka, Thomas, and V. Johnson. . Nays: None.
