Dennis Hamel Mr. Hamel owns and manages the apartment building at 2950 Highcrest Road. He recently moved the trash dumpster from the rear of the building to a small fenced area near the street. A nearby neighbor complained to the City Inspections Department. Mr. Hamel explained that the garbage trucks had damaged his parking lot. Having just resurfaced the lot, he wanted to protect it from further damage and moved the dumpster to the front of the lot so the trucks would not need to drive into the lot. We explained to Mr. Hamel the City's design standards related to complete enclosure of trash handling. Since his building was in place before the standards were in effect, he can keep the dumpster where it was located but cannot move it unless he brings it into compliance with the Code standards. Although he believes placing the dumpster near the street is his only alternative to further truck damage to the parking lot, he agreed to move the dumpster back to its original location. Bob Kieber, Mid-America Golf supply Mr. Kieber is interested in opening a golf driving range in Roseville and inquired about the vacant Glacier Park site at Hwys 35W/36, just south of County Road B-2. The site is big enough to accommodate a driving range, but the zoning would not allow it as a permanent use, unless it were incorporated into a larger PUD. A more likely option is to operate it as an interim use. The City controls a portion of this site. Mr. Kieber will contact Craig Waldron to inquire further about leasing the property. 3. Bruce Anderson, 1708 Oakcrest Mr. Anderson has applied for for his property at Oakcrest by the city Council in order pathway connection to the a preliminary plat and street vacation and Aldine.
