A much more logical and feasible <br />option is to cross the city's drainage pond easement a block to the <br />west near the foot of Herschel street. This land is in line with <br />the separation between the two shopping center buildings to the <br />south and would provide much better pedestrian access, whereas the <br />Aldine street location would connect into the back of a parking <br />ramp and loading area.
