a pathway would be approximately $5,000. There would be
additional expense for lighting, landscape buffering and a
gate in the wall.

S. Mr. Anderson has presented the attached petition signed by
53 persons representing 40 properties indicating their
oDDosition to access to the shopping centers and supporting
the vacation of right-of-way as requested.

9. Maj or issues exist regarding the pathway through Aldine
street which would include the cost of constructing a
pathway, lights, and buffer: Welsh Companies opposition to
provide a gate in the wall and the necessary pathway
extension and steps and/or ramp on their property to
connect to existing pathways to the south: and the
opposition to the connection by the owners of property on
the south side of Oakcrest.

10. Also, a pathway on Aldine street would enter the shopping
center property adjacent to the parking ramp and force
people to walk through or around the ramp. A more
appropriate location for the path would be through the
drainage pond west of Aldine street. This would allow a
connection between the two centers and would tie into the
existing sidewalk in the area. The pathway at this
location could be pursued in the future if the pond is
abandoned and the property is made available for additional
houses.
