I have discussed this with the City Attorney, as <br />noted on the attached correspondence. He concurs that the existing ordinance does not allow the use <br />you have suggested. <br /> <br />You have at least two options, if you wish to pursue the matter: <br /> <br />1) Propose the sale of the used vehicles in a manner that is consistent with the current <br />ordinance; or <br /> <br />2) Propose an amendment to the ordinance to allow the use as you have requested it. <br /> <br />As noted in the City Attorney's letter, the intent of the current ordinance is to restrict used car lots in <br />the City to only those areas that also sell new cars, in an attempt to keep this use as attractive as <br />possible. An amendment to the Code, I believe, might be an "uphill battle".
