They have customers who come to them to lease vehicles and want to sell their current vehicle. The <br />leasing company wants to be able to sell these used vehicles. <br /> <br />This use is covered in Section 10.290 of the Code (see attached). Items 11 allows the sale of used vehicles, but <br />only by a dealer who also sells new vehicles. Item 12 allows the sale of used vehicles, but only previously <br />leased vehicles, not those previously owned by a private party. My interpretation is that the specific <br />arrangement proposed here by the leasing company is not allowed by our Code. What is your opinion?
