An undeveloped triangular parcel exists in front of the <br />Roseville Crossroads Center which has been owned by <br />Equitable. This parcel formerly served as a storm water <br />holding pond for the Rosedale Center. <br /> <br />2. When the Pavilion Place Shopping Center was expanded into the <br />Roseville Crossroads Center, the holding pond was removed <br />and the parcel is available for development. <br /> <br />3. Beechwood Acquisitions is acquiring this parcel for <br />development of a Computer City store on the parcel. Computer <br />City is requesting a special use permit for site plan <br />approval in accordance with City ordinance requirements. <br />This request includes a variance to the 100 foot setback <br />requirements of the SC Shopping Center district. <br /> <br />4. The Planning Commission continued consideration of this <br />matter until May 12, 1993 to allow the applicant to work with <br />staff and Welsh 'Companies, the owner of the adjacent <br />Crossroads Center, to address traffic and other concerns <br />proposed by Welsh Company and the tenants of the Crossroads <br />Shopping Center. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council continue this matter <br />until May 24, 1993 to allow staff to work with the parties to <br />resolve outstanding issues. <br /> <br />Council Action Reauested: <br /> <br />1. Motion to continue consideration of Beechwood <br />Acquisitions/computer City request for special use permit for <br />site plan approval at Snelling Avenue and county Road B-2 <br />until May 24, 1993. <br />
