May 19, 1993

Vern Johnson
1707 Lydia Avenue
Roseville, MN 55113

Dear Sir,

I am writing on behalf of Trish Curtiss. I will try to be brief, I realize your time
is valuable.

I have known Trish Curtiss for 17 years my husband has known her for 7 years. We live
in the same Roseville residence that my husband was born in 39 years ago.

We are hard pressed to understand why Trish Curtiss should not be able to have a
hair salon operating out of her home. And it is even more difficult for us to
understand why this has become such an issue with her neighbors.

I work for my parents who run two different businesses out of their home in New
BrightoIT , and have for over 20 years. The neighbors there have no problem with
this, on the contrary they appreciate the fact that our presence and the activity
at this address could deter daytime break-ins in a neighborhood that is otherwise
deserted from nine to five Monday through Friday.

It is my opinion that Trish Curtiss should be commended for trying to earn a living,
support her family, contribute to the Roseville tax base and stay home with her baby
daughter.

We are unable to attend the council meeting on May 24, 1993 but want to make our
support of Trish Curtiss known. Enclosed is a petition signed by others who join
us in our support.

Sincerely,
~o.$...LA - rz.;J ~
Rose A.
