PETITION TO THE ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL 1. This is to express our strong opposition to the special use permit for Patricia Curtiss to operate a beauty salon business out of her home at 1987 Aldine and TO PETITION THE ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO DENY APPROVAL OF SAID PERMIT. 2. Such a use of private residential property is most definitely NOT in keeping with the character of our neighborhood and is a practice we certainly do not want to begin to allow. 3. Commercial traffic is encroaching on more and more residential areas in Roseville, and we believe that allowing such a special use permit will only serve to spread that traffic into residential neighborhoods even more. 4. Our neighborhood is a quiet, peaceful little section trying to maintain its privacy in an ever-expanding sea of commercialism and the attendant problems of increased traffic, vandalism and crime. 5. We want to keep business in the commercial zones where it belongs and out of residential neighborhoods where we come home to relax and live in peace and quiet. 6. In addition, we are of the opinion that once a such a business is allowed in even one home, it will have a negative effect on the property values of the neighboring homes, which reduces not only our resale values but the revenues for the City as well. 7.
