<br />2. <br /> <br />Further, the additional traffic generated by this retail shop is of concern <br />to us because there is no way of knowing who is or isn't a business customer <br />or supplier driving down the street. Some of the homeowners have established <br />"Neighborhood Watch" groups because of their concern about strangers in these <br />areas. With a customer-dependent business of this type bringing in unknown <br />individuals, the potential for problems is increased. This is not acceptable. <br /> <br />Moreover, this is a very stable community of long-time residents who take pride <br />in the neighborhood and the quality of life enjoyed here. New homeowners have <br />been attracted by that very feature. It is totally out of keeping with the <br />character of this neighborhood to have a permitted home occupation with a sign <br />out in front advertising the business. It is simply not acceptable. <br /> <br />We request that as our elected representatives you listen to our objections <br />and vote against approval of the application of Patricia Curtiss for a special <br />use permit to operate a beauty salon business out of her home at 1987 Aldine <br />Street in Roseville. <br /> <br />We will be attending the City Council meeting Monday, April 26, and hope that <br />this matter will be satisfactorily concluded that evening. <br /> <br />Thank you very much. <br /> <br />Very truly yours, <br /> <br /> <br />~& ~I!flo/ <br />
