The exact size and dimensions of this tank system are unknown. Services to
be provided include specification preparation, construction monitoring, observation and
testing field activities and preparation of the closure documentation report.

STS Consultants, Ltd. will provide engineering services associated with the removal of the
underground storage tank. STS will take into consideration the potential for encountering
a limited amount of petroleum impacted soils associated with the removal of the tank sys-
tem. Our experience has shown that impacted soils are very likely to be encountered within
the soil tank envelope and possibly along the piping line. It is anticipated that an
unknown quantity of impacted soils will require excavation and treatment. If extensive
product release is discovered in the course of the tank excavation, it may be necessary to
extend our services beyond the scope of this proposal.

Preparation of Bid Specifications

STS Consultants, Ltd. will prepare the bid specifications associated with the underground
storage tank removal project. Specifications will include specific tasks and methods for
the tank removal contractor to follow in order for the tank to be removed and backfill
placed successfully within the excavation. It is understood that the site will be back-
filled and repaved to establish the existing site grade prior to the tank removal project.
Costs will be separated out for this tank removal project in an effort to provide the
identification of costs associated with the site project which may be in part reimbursable
by the state under the "Petrofund". Unit prices being included in the specifications to
address the removal and disposal of petroleum impacted soil within the tank excavation.

- 3 -
