The work
was completed as outlined in STS Proposal P-26 I 6. The work described in this letter
was performed as requested by the Roseville School District and includes the following
items:

o Location of the 3,000 gallon fuel oil tank.
o Two hand auger soil borings.

Location of Tank

A magnetometer was used to locate the tank. A magnetometer is an instrument capable
of sensing metal objects beneath the ground. The magnetometer cannot be used to
determine the exact dimensions of a tank. Therefore the location and size of the tank
identified is approximate.

Figure I enclosed with this letter illustrates the approximate location of the under-
ground fuel oil tank. Photographs # I and #2 enclosed with this letter show the ap-
proximate location of this tank in relation to the building. The exact size and
dimensions of this tank system are unknown. The Roseville School District informed.
STS that the capacity of the tank was approximately 3,000 gallons. Based on the
results of the magnetometer survey, it appears that the tank is approximately 6 feet
wide and an unknown length. The magnetometer survey was not successful in generally
defining the tank length in the easterly direction. A typical 3,000 gallon tank
measures approximately 5.5 feet in diameter by 18 feet long.
