l�'� <br />`/� <br />In Appreciation <br />Madeleine Logeais <br />Whereas: The Girl Scouts of the USA has provided young women leadership opportunities for <br />more than 100 years; and <br />Whereas: The City of Roseville is committed to recognizing and honoring volunteerism and the <br />hard wark of inembers of the community; and <br />Whereas: Madeleine is a member of Girl Scouts of Minnesota and; <br />Whereas: Madeleine is interested in inspiring students to participate in Science, Technology, <br />Engineering, and Math (STEM) Learning; and <br />Whereas: Madeleine warked with volunteers to redecorate the STEM classroom, installed a <br />Bentley (weather-tracking) box, began a seedling project to grow food for the local food shelf, and <br />created a Rosary Garden; and <br />Whereas: Madeleine warked with volunteers to help design and install the garden using <br />technology they learned; and <br />Whereas: Madeleine's wark on the Rosary Garden will inspire students to pursue possible careers <br />as scientists and engineers; and <br />Whereas: In recognition of Madeleine's hard wark, she has achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award, <br />the highest award in Girl Scouting. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declare June 9, 2014, to be Girl Scout <br />Day in the City of Roseville and urges all citizens to recognize Madeleine Logeais accomplishments of <br />earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. <br />In the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville to be <br />affixed this ninth day of June 2014. <br />Mayor Daniel J.
