<br />LANDSCAPING SPECIFICATIONS <br />for <br />ADVANCE CIRCUITS, INC.lOASIS PARK <br /> <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. Substitutions to be approved by Landscape Architect. <br /> <br />B. All materials shall comply with the latest edition of the American Standard for Nursery Stock, <br />American Association of Nurserymen, all current laws and certifications. <br /> <br />C. Provide balled and potted plants which are field-grown nursery plants, dug with a ball of earth <br />still intact in which they are growing, and in lieu of bUrlapping, are placed in a container to <br />retain the ball unbroken. Container grown plants must have been grown in container for a <br />minimum of six (6) months. <br /> <br />D. Guarantee: Submit written guarantee of replacement of any plant material failing to survive <br />and thrive for a period of one year after final date of acceptance. <br /> <br />E. Seeded areas which fail to become established in growth during the following summer <br />months, if planted in the fall or spring, shall be replaced at the proper season at the <br />Contractor's expense. <br /> <br />F. Layout areas of planting and location of each major plant for review by Landscape Architect <br />prior to start of planting. <br /> <br />G. Coordinate installation of plant materials with grading and fence contractors. <br /> <br />H. Contractor to verify location of all underground utilities. <br /> <br />I. Clean-up all debris resulting rom planting operation and remove from project at the end of <br />each working day. <br /> <br />MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Soil used in planting shall be native topsoil thoroughly mixed and modified to suit the plants <br />being installed. Soil shall not be excessively acid or alkaline nor contain toxic materials <br />harmful to plant growth. <br /> <br />B. Provide fertilizer, humus and other soil amendments of a type which are known to improve <br />the pH condition of the soil for the particular plant material to be planted. <br /> <br />C. Fertilize soil for planting trees and shrubs with a 10 percent phosphorus, 4 percent nitrogen <br />and 4 percent potash commercial fertilizer, applied and mixed at the rate of not less than <br />0.25 pounds per cubic feet of soil and humus. <br /> <br />D. All plants shall be from stock which has been acclimated to the State of Minnesota. <br />
