SPECIFICATIONS FOR
MODEL 3400 DUST COLLECTOR

1.0 General Description

The Model 3400 Series Collectors are fabric filter, jet pulse
type units having pyramidal and multiple pyramidal type
hoppers on all sizes and trough type hoppers on the larger
sizes. They are designed to be delivered in two sections,
the top or baghouse section and the lower or hopper section.
The use of two sections promotes ease of shipping and
erection. Removable covers are provided 'on the top of the
baghouse section for the installation and inspection of the
filter bags. The air reservoir and clean air pulsing system
and clean air outlet are mounted on one side of the collector.
The product stream enters through the inlet in one side of the
hopper and rises upward around the bags where the solid
particles are deposited on the outside of the bags. The air
stream then passes through the fabric into the bag and is
exhausted from the collector. Compressed air jets are used
periodically to shock and backflush the filter bags causing
the collected particles to fall down into the hopper. The
collected dust is removed by gravity from the bottom of the
pyramidal hoppers and by screw conveyors from the trough type
hoppers. Filter fabrics of various types can be supplied to
accommodate specific conditions.

2.0 DesiqnConditions

2.01 Design pressure: inches water gauge: :tIS.
2.02 Design operating temperature: 27S.F.
2.03 Maximum operating temperature governed by type of fabric
filter material.

2.04 Compressed air pressure: 85 psig. operating pressure -
100 psig. max.

2.05 Design wind load: 25 lb./sq. ft.

2.06 Screw conveyor drive power-trough hoppers: 2 HP TEFC
2.07 Voltage requirements:

Sequence controller - 120V/60H/1PH
Screw conveyor motor - 230/460V/60H/3PH

DUSTEX

SPECIFICATIONS
MODEL 3400 DUST COLLECTOR

Engineering

05/01/90

.
