MEMORANDUM

Date:

Februmy 10, 1994

To:

Steve Sarkozy

From:

Mike Falk

Subject

Advance Circuits, Inc.

At their regular meeting of July 26, 1993, the Roseville City Council approved a
lot coverage variance for Advance Circuits, Inc. in order to build an addition to
their site that would connect the two buildings. This approval was conditioned
upon Advance Circuits meeting noise reduction compliance issues. Specifically,
the Council's action indicated that prior to the issuance of the Certificate of
Occupancy for the building addition, noise monitoring tests should be conducted
to insure that the strategies implemented by Advance Circuits to reduce noise
were effectively reducing the level of noise experienced by the neighborhood
north of Oasis Park.

Since the Council's approval of the variance, a number of noise reduction
strategies have been implemented, both by Advance Circuits Inc., in cooperation
with the City of Roseville:

Drill vacuum encased to prohibit sound escape.

Air exchange units on the roof encased with shrouds to prevent noise
escapes.

Benn constructed along the rear property line with a noise wall and
landscaping to follow in the Spring. The two buildings have been
connected, which will reduce noise associated with the ttansportation of
materials between the two facilities.

The third shift staff have been organized to reduce late night noise.

A phone/pager hotline number has been distributed to the neighbors to
call in noise complaints.

...
