County Road B-2 ACTION REQUESTED: Amendment to a Special Use Pennit for an Amusement Center 1. BACKGROUND r('(Pl~1 «;:'\\ D ~ VJ ~S\·'¡.J In June 1991, Roseville City Council approved a request for a special use pennit for a 14,000 sq. ft. amusement center in the Crossroads Center at 1655 W. County Road B-2. At the time, the facility included an 18-hole chipping and putting course, an indoor driving range, and a retail shop. In 1992, Lava Links proposed an expansion of their facility to include a snack bar and games (putting games, darts, hoops, basketball, etc.). The expansion area was 1)50 sq. ft. in size and provided space for seven new games and seating for 54 people. In March of 1992, the City Council approved this request for a special use pennit. 2. Development Summarv The golf driving range and simulators were built in the 2,400 sq. ft. lower level. Lava Links has found this part of their operation to be unproductive and are proposing to modify the use of this space. They are fY\.rz:.l'- LPu{.L proposing to build a floor over the lower 2,400 sq. ft. to provide two levels. The upper level is at the same elevation as the putting course and would become an amusement area offering a variety of skill and arcade games. The lower level would be developed into a private party space. In addition, Lava Links is proposing to add 1,700 sq. ft.' of space immediately adjacent to the west side of their store.
