<br />" <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />Aboveground Dispensing of Flammable/Combustible Liquids <br /> <br />Notes <br /> <br />The installation shall comply with the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code. <br />The following are reference notes from the Minnesota Uniform Fire <br />Code which contain specific instructions applicable to this <br />project. These requirements must be complied with. <br /> <br />1. An approved automatic fire suppression system must be <br />installed and maintained over the dispensing units. <br /> <br />2. Vent pipe termination height shall be shown on the plot plan. <br />Sec. 79.509(a)2: <br /> <br />Where vent pipe outlets for tanks storing Class I liquids <br />are adjacent to building or public ways, they shall be <br />located so that the vapors are released at a safe point <br />outside of the buildings and not less than 12 feet above <br />the adjacent ground level. Vapors shall be discharged <br />upward or horizontally away from closely adjacent walls <br />to assist in vapor dispersion. <br /> <br />3. Location of the Emergency Control shall be shown on the plot <br />plan. <br />Sec. 79.903(i)1 and 2: <br /> <br />A clearly labeled, manually operated pump master switch <br />shall be provided in an approved location within 75 feet <br />of, but not nearer than 15 feet to, any dispenser. Where <br />such master switch is not visible from all dispensers, <br />the location thereof shall be indicated by approved <br />signs. <br /> <br />Signs identifying the pump master switch shall be labeled <br />"EMERGENCY PUMP SHUTOFF II . <br /> <br />-' <br /> <br />1 <br />
