Sarkozy, City Manager <br />Roseville City Hall <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br /> <br />Re: Application Withdrawal <br />The Rottlund Company, Inc.lPairview Parkside (Corpus ChristO/Planning Case #2633 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Sarkozy: <br /> <br />Thank you for your cooperation and also for the help of the City Planning and Engineering <br />Staff as we all worked together on Rottlund's proposed project at Corpus Christi. It is a site <br />with a variety of development constraints which are now and will continue to be very <br />challenging to those involved in the development of the property. <br /> <br />We are concluding, based on the results of the Public Hearing process and the denial actions <br />taken by the Planning Commission at their meeting of January 12, 1994, that our timing on <br />this project is premature. Our timing seems to be out of sync. with City pursuits of decisions <br />on the site's acceptable Comprehensive Plan status, its density allowances and its site design <br />criteria. Many important issues apparently need to be studied. Anticipating that the City <br />Council will be in agreement with the Planning Commission recommendation, The Rottlund <br />Company, Inc. therefore respectfully requests that the City Council accept a withdrawal of our <br />application relating to this project. We would however like to take the opportunity on <br />January 24, 1994 to come before the City Council with an overview of our proposal and allow <br />discussion on the central issues. We also would like to request that a waiver be granted <br />RottIund for future City application fees which would be due for processing of a future revised <br />proposal for this site should Rottlund pursue such a proposal. Our submittal fee investments to <br />date on the project are significant.
