The site provides for 143 parking spaces as currently configured. <br />By double parking a section of the lease vehicles, it is possible to create 17 new <br />parking spaces for a total of 160 spaces on the site. After subtracting the 80 <br />spaces proposed to be set aside for the rental vehicles, there still remains 80 <br />spaces for tenant and visitor parking. This exceeds the code by 34 parking <br />spaces. No changes are proposed to the exterior of the building. <br /> <br />6. On May 11, 1994, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval <br />of Thomas WilhnusÆnterprise Rent A Car's request for an amendment to a <br />special use permit at 2484 N. Cleveland Avenue with the conditions that the staff <br />review the landscaping prior to the City Council meeting. The purpose of the staff <br />landscape review is to ensure that the landscaping softens the impact of the <br />vehicles as viewed trom the road. <br /> <br />Staff has met with the applicant to discuss the Planning Commission's request to <br />look at landscaping for the site. The applicant referred to an agreement with the <br />City ofRoseville that took additional right-of-way and the existing landscaping to <br />widen Cleveland Avenue. The applicant contends they are not required to replace <br />the trees removed by the street project. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. Enterprise Rent A Car has been in Roseville since 1992. This location at 2484 N. <br />Cleveland Avenue is their group headquarters. In 1993, they added a satellite <br />facility on County Road C. With growth and expansion of their business they <br />have found it necessary to add more office space and to have more cars at this <br />location. They are not proposing any additional hard surface or to reduce the <br />number of required parking for the other tenants and visitors to the building. <br />Therefore, staff would recommend approval of the amendment to their special use <br />pennit to add 30 additional spaces for rental vehicles for Enterprise Rent A Car at <br />2484 N. Cleveland Avenue. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: <br /> <br />1.
