Regular City Council Meeting Monday,June 9, 2014 Page 3 b. Recognize New Police Officers and Volunteer Coordinator Police Chief Rick Mathwig introduced the City's most recently-hired City of Ro- seville Police Officers Mitch Christensen, Zach Wiesner, and Crystal Jones, offi- cially sworn in on May 22, 2014; and read a brief biography for each officer in order of their hire. Mayor welcomed the officers in their service to the City of Roseville and its citi- zens. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon introduced recently-hired City of Roseville Vol- unteer Coordinator Ms. Kelly O'Brien; and offered a brief biography and sum- mary of her work to-date in volunteer coordination. At the invitation of Mayor Roe, Ms. O'Brien thanked the City Council for recog- nizing the potential of community engagement and the need for an infrastructure of volunteers to address that. Ms. O'Brien expressed her enthusiasm for working with the City Council and community residents to build a greater Roseville. 6. Approve Minutes Comments and corrections to draft minutes had been submitted by the City Council prior to tonight's meeting and those revisions were incorporated into the draft present- ed in the Council packet. a. Minutes of May 12, 2014 Regular Meeting Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, approval of Meeting Minutes of May 12, 2014 as presented. Roll Call Ayes: McGehee; Willmus; Laliberte; Etten; and Roe. Nays: None. b. Minutes of May 22, 2014 Special Meeting Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, approval of Meeting Minutes of May 22, 2014 as amended. Corrections: Page 26, Lines 15 - 18 (Roe) Confirmed that Councilmember Laliberte was the speaker; and corrected typo- graphical error from"per-empt" to preempt." Roll Call Ayes: McGehee; Willmus; Laliberte; Etten; and Roe. Nays: None.
