Alterations of vegetation and topography shall be regulated to <br />prevent erosion into public waters, fix nutrients, preserve shoreland aesthetics, preserve historic <br />values, prevent bank slumping, and protect fish and wildlife habitat. Fill and grading activities <br />within shoreland shall comply with Section 18.090.3, 1 through 9 and 18.090.4. <br /> <br />18.091 Vegetation Alterations in ShoreJand Areas. <br /> <br />18.091.1 Vegetation alteration necessary for the construction of structures and roads and parking <br />areas regulated by Section 18.040 through 18.045 of this code are exempt from the vegetation <br />alteration standards that follow. <br /> <br />18.091.2 Removal or alteration of vegetation is allowed subject to the following standards: <br /> <br />1) Intensive vegetation clearing within the shore and bluff impact zones and on steep slopes <br /> <br />:...... __+- "..,,11.-..--.!,,^....1 T_"^_r>l:....,n. Excavations where the intended purpose is connection <br />to a public water, such as boat slips, canals, lagoons, and harbors, shall be controlled by 18.090 of <br />this code. Permission for excavations may be given only after the Commissioner has approved the <br />proposed connection to public waters and other needed approvals have been obtained. <br /> <br />18.093 (Reserved) <br /> <br />18.094 (Reserved) <br /> <br />18.095 Storm Water Management. The following genera] and specific standards shall apply to <br />all developments within the City ofRoseville. <br /> <br />18.095.1 Storm Water Management General Standards: <br /> <br />1) When possible, existing natural drainageways, and vegetated soil surfaces shall be used to <br />convey, store, filter, and retain stormwater runoff before discharge to public waters. <br /> <br />25 <br />
