STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. The site under consideration does not meet City design standards. To comply with these standards, the building materials would need renovating, the lot would have to be paved and surrounded with concrete curb and gutter, the parking spaces would have to be moved back 40 feet to meet the setback requirements, and additional landscaping would need to be provided. However, the site is well maintained for a truck/trailer leasing operation and is more attractive than many of its neighbors in the area. The use as proposed, would be much less intense than the use approved with the expiring interim use permit. The Olson's have indicated that at the end of a five year time fi'ame, they will be ready to move their operation to other parts of the Metropolitan area and would put this site on the market. Staff recommends approval of an interim use permit for a five year period with the following conditions: a. That a 6-1/2 foot stained wood screen fence be constructed in front of the parking area west of the driveway. b.
