This diagram uses the hexagonal Worship Center design presented in June 1993, adding two extensions to house choir, organ, chancel and sacristy. The square shape in the current proposal evolved from RLC's realization that the Worship Center needed that extra space in the corners for support functions. This Master Plan alternative included a future "great haIr' in the northeast. The Church determined that it did not need both the 1969 Activity Center and a second "great hall,lt and that it could not afford to destroy its lounge. The design was not pursued further. This design continued the architectural objective of creating a straight line between the new Worship Centert the new Gathering Area, and the 1969 Activity Center.
