\

ground floor are subject to the setback requirements and as the house is situated now would need
a variance to be added to the feaf of the building. Free standing utility sheds are required to be
setback 5 feet from the side and rear property lines. If you desire to do additional landscaping on
your property, I would point out that the City code does not place setback requirements on
landscape material. The City ofRoseviUe has not and would not make reimbursements for
landscape improvements on private properties.

For your information, I have attached a copy of the approved site plan for 1960 N. Dale Street, as
weIl as a survey indicating what the setbacks would be if Carlisle Avenue was considered the front
yard of this lot. I hope this answers the questions and concerns you have. If not, I would be
happy to talk further with you about this issue. You can contact me at 490-2236,

Sincerely,

trtiIcHLJrJ1j//er

Michael Falk
City Planner
City ofRoseville

MF:cf

cc: Steve Sarkozy
Attachments
