Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />April 16, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Vice Chair Becker suggested having one of the Commissioners look into different ideas for items <br />to hand out during the parade. <br />Chair Groff stated there would also be a dance group with the Human Rights Commission group <br />and he would follow up with them. They could do dance routines when the parade is stopped. <br />Vice Chair Becker stated they would need to provide something for the announcer to read as <br />well. <br />Commissioner Slade asked about including the new citizens. Chair Groff stated there were none <br />from Roseville. <br />Review of Calendar <br />Chair Groff reviewed the HRC calendar with the members present. <br />Update of HRC Brochure <br />Vice Chair Becker discussed updates made to the HRC brochure. He stated the new members <br />had been included. He explained Youth Commissioners were not included due to their age. <br />Youth Commissioner Dao stated she would like to be included at this time because she is no <br />longer a minor. Ms. Collins stated she would look into this and find out what the parameters are <br />for including Youth Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Thao asked if Youth Commissioner Sungmoon Lim would be attending any <br />meetings because if she was not going to participate then another youth member could be <br />identified. <br />Chair Groff suggested adding this to new business. <br />New Business <br />Chair's Report <br />• Youth Commissioners <br />Chair Groff stated the number of Youth Commissioners they could have was three (3). He <br />reviewed the process and suggested they start the process. <br />Commissioner Thao suggested contacting Sungmoon and giving her the opportunity to attend. <br />Ms. Collins stated she would contact her and her term is up in June. <br />Youth Commissioner Thomas stated she would not be attending next year. Ms. Collins stated <br />there would be two (2) openings next year. <br />
