The speaker can handle up to 50 people and more than that he would be available to help since he had attended a previous dialogue. He reviewed what was discussed during the dialogue. There is no charge for this dialogue. Commissioner Thao suggested keeping the number of people less than 50 and building in the future if needed. Commissioner Bachhuber suggested letting the community know that this would be a communicative dialogue and they would be asked to participate. Ms. Collins suggested picking a number and advertising on a first come first serve. The consensus of the Commission was to limit the number of seats to 25 and they would need to register with Ms. Collins. The event would be advertised through social media and other methods including flyers at different locations in the City, the High School and the Public Library and the Review. Vice Chair Becker suggested allocating funds for refreshments for the dialogue and her recommended $150-$200. Chair Groff suggested keeping the refreshments simple. Vice Chair Becker moved and Commissioner Singleton seconded a motion to hold a Community Dialogue on May 22 titled "Uncovering Five Myths that Support Racism". The motion passed unanimously. Vice Chair Becker moved and Commissioner Bachhuber seconded a motion to budget $150.00 for refreshments for the event. The motion passed unanimously. Selection of Committees for Commission Members • Outreach Chair Groff explained what the Committee does. Vice Chair Becker stated the Committee is made up of three (3) members and makes recommendations to the rest of the Commission. The consensus of the Commission was to appoint Vice Chair Becker, Commissioner Slade and Commissioner Bachhuber to serve on the Outreach Committee with Vice Chair Becker serving as Committee head. • Programming Chair Groff explained what the Committee does.
