Debris observed in Area 16 included scattered miscellaneous car parts, tire and wire <br />on the hillside overlooking Area 16. No evidence of buried debris was observed. <br /> <br />2.17 Area 17 <br /> <br />Area 17 included the foundation of a fonner homestead on the northeast corner of the site. The <br />former homestead was at the top of a hill, overlooking Wetland 2. Debris observed within Area 17 <br />included concrete rubble, miscellaneous household garbage, rusted barrels, paint cans, metal <br />fragments and tires (See Photo #20). A stone-lined hole, which may have been a former cistern, <br />was observed west of the former foundation (See Photo #21). The hole was filled with residential <br />debris. The depth of filVdebris was not determined. No evidence of buried debris was observed. <br /> <br />2.18 Area 18 <br /> <br />Area 18 was within Wetland 4, on the northern portion of the site. Debris observed in Area 18 <br />included scattered metal parts. tin cans, bottles and a rusted barrel. No evidence of buried debris <br />was observed. <br /> <br />2.19 Area 19 <br /> <br />Area 19 is a large area of surface and buried debris within the west-central portion of the project <br />site (See Photo #22). Area 19 was identified as Area C in the Phase II ESA. Surface debris <br />observed included miscellaneous demolition debris such as concrete and rebar, household <br />furniture, and miscellaneous metal parts. Scattered mounds were observed in Area 19.
