Test pits were
performed in three of these areas for the Phase II EA. These included Areas 8 (Area A), 14
(Area B) and 19 (Area C). No compounds above laboratory detection limits, except chromium,
were identified in the soil samples collected. The chromium concentration was within normal
background levels.

Scattered surface debris was observed in Areas 3, 4, 6, 7,9,10, 11,12, 13,15,16,18,20,21
and 23. Debris within these areas can potentially be removed by hand labor.

More extensive surface debris was observed in Areas 1, 2, 5, 8, 17, 19 and 22. Removal of debris
within these areas will likely required excavation equipments.

Areas where debris was potentially buried includes Areas 4, 5, 8 (Area A), 14 (Area B) and 19
Area C). Excavation of these areas will be required to completely evaluate the types and amounts
of materials within these areas.

- 10 -
