<br />Product Description: <br /> <br />COMPU-Plastic Labels are bar code labels from Computype, Inc. that <br />are constructed of a dense polystyrene material. The bar code image <br />is protected by a unique chemical top-coat that is bonded to the <br />label with the use of ultra-violet radiation. The result is a very <br />durable label, resistant to moisture, grime, and other harsh <br />conditions. COMPU-Plastic Labels meet the following specifications: <br /> <br />Bar definition greater than .001 inch <br /> <br />Print contrast ratio (PCR) of at least 90% (as measured by the <br />Macbeth PCMII, filters D and E, 905nm and 633nm) <br /> <br />withstand the following aging tests with no reduction in <br />scannability: one week at 150 degrees F and 80% relative humidity <br />four weeks at 96 degrees F and 96% relative humidity <br /> <br />Withstand 250 cycles of the Taber Abrasion Test (using CS-17 abrasive <br />wheels and a 1000 gram load) before bar code image is affected <br /> <br />withstand at least 12,500 cycles of the Sutherland Rub Test (4 pound <br />weight) with no reduction in scannability. <br /> <br />COMPU-Plastic Labels contain no voids, edge roughness, ink fill-in, <br />or show through.
