provide seamability at different heights on the rack. For example, at
four feet away a scanner requires a symbology with an "X" dimension
(white background) of 40 mils while 100 mils is required at 25 feet
(reflective background). As result, labels located near the top rack
are retro-reflective with a 100 rail narrow bar. Labels at the bottom
are 40 mils on a white background. An additional problem is the need
for the scanner to be at a precise angle to the bar code in order to
"read".
The introduction of the patented Multicode Barcode from Computype
makes these problems obsolete. The Multicode Barcode is a single
label containing up to five different densities of the same symbology
imaged on a retro-reflective background mounted on a curved surface.
This achieves the following benefits: It combines various sized
labels and background into a single label, increases the tolerance of
the scanner's position to the bar code (angle of "read"), improves
the user's flexibility of positioning and "reading" the bar code,
reduces the cost of mounting labels and reduces the interference from
reflected external lights.
The Multicode Barcode label represents a significant advancement in
inventory management. For more information on this time and money
saving label, contact Darlene Nelson at the above address and phone
number.
Computype Inc. is a world leader in pre-printed bar code labels and
other automatic ID products. The Company maintains sales offices
throughout the united states and in Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Manufacturing facilities are located inst.
