The <br />system utilizes Computypels proven LA3 000 automatic applicator <br />technology attach <br /> <br />ed to a 3-axis transport which mounts over your <br />conveyor or material handling system. <br />The applicator consists of a gantry-style 3-axis placement <br />mechanism, with single or multiple label feeder mechanisms, and a <br />label placement nosepiece (end-effector) which incorporates pressure <br />limited z-axis movement and an optional 90 degree fourth axis (Theta) <br />rotation. The system is capable of selecting one of mUltiple feeders <br />from which to retrieve a label, automatically transferring that label <br />and placing it anywhere within the work envelope of the placement <br />gantry. Also, under sofrware control, the user may rotate the label <br />by 90 degrees before placement. <br />The dispensers and robotic actuators share a common <br />controller, allowing for more seamless integration of the total <br />system. The system can operate in a stand-alone mode or under <br />optional personal computer control to pernrit more program storage <br />and higher levels of communications. The cantilevered design of the <br />system dramatically simplifies the integration of the applicator to <br />your current conveyor or material handling system.
