<br />Policy No. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT: <br /> <br />Community Development <br /> <br />POLICY TITLE: <br /> <br />City of Roseville Right-of-Way Dedication Policy <br /> <br />It is the policy of the City of Roseville to accept or require dedications (for public purposes) of land, <br />air rights, or access for roads, trails; parks, utilities, drainage and/or ponding, and scenic preseJVation <br />in the following manner: <br /> <br />*t1) <br /> <br />The City may require dedications when any subdivision of land occurs in which a public <br />improvement has been planned on or adjacent to the site or for improvements off-site which <br />provide a benefit to the users of the site. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />'The City may require dedications when any proposed rezoning or Planned Unit Development <br />creates a demand for improved public services on or adjacent to the site, or for improvements <br />off-site which provide a benefit to the users of the site. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3) The City may require dedications when a proposed userlland use must gain approval of a <br />special use permit. The use proposed must create a demand. for improved public services on <br />or adjacent to the site, or for improvements off-site which provide a benefit to the users of the <br />site. <br /> <br />4) The City may agree to accept a voluntary dedication trom a land owner for land., air rights, <br />or access for roads; trails; parks, utilities, drainage and/or ponding, and scenic preservation. <br /> <br />5) As a condition of approval, the City may request approval trom any land use pennit applicant <br />to acquire land., air rights, or ~ents for roads, trails, parks, utilities, drainage and/or <br />ponding, and scenic preservation. In return for the above mentioned considerations; the City <br />will pay a mutually agreed upon fee. <br /> <br />6) Where question exists regarding the appropriateness of requiring, accepting, or requesting <br />purchase of land or easements, the City Attorney will be requested to review the case. <br />
