SectionA:Personnel <br />SectionB:ProjectApproach;OverviewandWorkPlan <br />ParksandRecreationSystemMasterPlanUpdate <br />CityofRoseville,Minnesota <br />PartOne:TheVision <br />Thefirsttwostagesoftheworkwillfocusonthecreationofavision.Webeginbybuildinga <br />foundationofknowledgeuponwhichavisionaryplancanbeframed,andweworkwiththe <br />communitytounderstandtheneedsanddesiresforwƚƭĻǝźƌƌĻ͸ƭparkandrecreationsystem. <br />Weconcludewitheffortsdirectedtowardexploringideasindiagramsandillustrations, <br />buildinguponourbaseofearlierresearchandbreathinglifeintothevision. <br />StageOne:Convene <br />DuringStageOne,theteamwillworkwithcitystaffandtheParkandRecreationMasterPlan <br />UpdateTeam(PARMPUT)todevelopafoundationofknowledgeabouttheCityofRoseville,its <br />parksystem,andthecurrentMasterPlan. <br />Ourfirsttaskinvolvesbuildingthefoundationofknowledgethatwewillneedtogetstartedin <br />boththevisioningandcomprehensiveplanningprocess,butmoreimportantperhapswillbethe <br />timespentwiththeSteeringCommitteecomingtoagreementonthescope,schedule,and <br />communicationsthatareintegraltotheprocess.LƷ͸ƭnotallorganizingduringthisstage,though; <br />weintendtobegintheprocessofdefiningandunderstandingthepressingissuesanddesires <br />thatwillbecomethefoundationofplansthatguidetheRosevillecommunityintoitsfuture. <br />StageOneTasks <br />1.01MeetwithcitystaffandkeyPARMPUTmemberstoreviewtheplanningprocess,agree <br />toaschedule,defineroles(especiallyrolesofstaffandthePARMPUT),discussmethods <br />ofcommunityinputandengagement,establishinternalandexternalcommunication <br />procedures,andreviewanticipateddeliverables. <br />1.02aGatherandreviewbackgrounddataandbaseinformation,includingpastreportsand <br />studies,demographicinformation,planningdocumentsandanyotherinformationthat <br />mightbepertinenttotheparkandrecreationmasterplanupdateprocess.Ofparticular <br />interestwillbetherecentupdatetotheĭźƷǤ͸ƭComprehensivePlan,andanydirections <br />orpolicieswithinthatdocumentthatrelatetoparksandrecreation,openspace, <br />conservationorpreservation,orothercommunityfeaturesthatmightinfluenceapark <br />andrecreationsystemmasterplan.Wewillprepareasummaryofbackground <br />informationintheformofaFoundationDocumentsreportasapartofthistaskthatwill <br />beincludedinaͻağƭƷĻƩPlan…ƦķğƷĻͼworkbook(seeTask1.4).Asinformationis <br />reviewed,wewillidentifykeypiecesofinformationfromexistingplansorstudies <br />(includinginaparticulartheupdateoftheComprehensivePlan)thatshouldbe <br />integratedintothemasterplan.Staffwillaidintheassemblyandreviewofbackground <br />page7 <br /> <br />
