Roseville Parks and Recreation has a variety of activities to get involved in this winter. Choose from cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, ice fishing and the DNR Firearms Safety class. Cross Country Skiing is a great way to enjoy the winter season. Classes meet at the Cedarholm Golf Course, 2323 Hamline Avenue North. Limited to 12 persons per class. Minimum age of eight unless accompanied by an adult. Register no later than one i week before the class date. Beginners and advanced beginners are combined in the same class. Register online atwww.cityofrosevillelparks, in person, thru the mail or by phone using your VISA or MasterCard The cost is $34 Regular, $26 Roseville resident. Note: Classes subject to cancellation due to weather conditions and rx insufficient enrollment so be sure to register early! Wear layered clothing to the classes. Day Date Time Programil Sat., Sun. Jana 26, 27 1-3pm 5400.132 Cross Country Ski Equipment Rentals Rentals are available at the Roseville City Hall Campus, 2660 Civic Center Drive (Lexington Avenue and County Road C). Call 651-792--7006 for rental information. Skis generally fit ages 12 and older. Fees: $12 for 24 hour rental for skis, boots and poles ($5 if rented separately). Special $7 rental fee for class participants. Weekend rate: $23 Friday - Sunday. Note: Checks are preferred for the rentals. Loss or damage of the ski equipment will be the responsibility of the renter. Snowshoe Dentals Try this fun, traditional form of travel and get great exercise. Follow animal tracks and seethe hidden wonders of nature. Adult and child sizes are available. Call ahead to make arrangements at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale Street, 651-765-4262. A driver's license is needed for the rental. Single days: $5 per pair for 24 hours.
