Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the May 6, 2008 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of May 6, 2008. Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of May 6, 2008. <br />3. Department Review <br />Staff will present a review of the current and upcoming recreation programs, services and <br />projects. <br />Requested Commission Action: Comments, questions and suggestions for recreation <br />programs, services and projects. <br />4. Discuss Temporary Leave of Chair Position <br />At the May 19, 2008 City Council meeting, Commission Chair Bob Willmus was selected to <br />complete the term of the late City Council Member Tom Kough. As a result, Chair Willmus <br />would like to discuss with you a temporary leave of absence during his time on the City <br />Council. The Chair position would be assumed by the current Vice Chair Jim Stark and an <br />interim Vice Chair would need to be appointed. <br />Requested Commission Action - <br />1 - <br />ction:1- Consider a recommendation to allow Commission Chair Willmus to take a leave of absence <br />from the Commission with the understanding that he return, as Chair, after his City Council <br />appointment expires. <br />2- Consider appointing an interim Vice -Chair to serve until Commissioner Willmus returns. <br />5. Discuss Joint Commission/Council Meeting <br />The annual joint City Council/Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting is confirmed for <br />Monday; June 16, 2008. It will most likely be one of the first items on their agenda at around 6 <br />p.m for 30-40 minutes. It is very important that a relistic agenda be set, and that there is full <br />attendance. This is your meeting with the Council to discuss areas of importance to you and <br />the community, and to gather guidance from the them: The general topics that were discussed <br />last meeting were: <br />1) Park and Recreation Master Planning and updates <br />2) Review Parks and Recreation components of Imagine Roseville 2025 <br />3) Park Improvement Program <br />4) Future Funding Options for General Parks and Recreation needs <br />Continued <br />
