Date: May 20, 2008 Pages: I <br />Contact: Carolyn Curti, 651-792-7026 <br />Willmus Named to Roseville City Council <br />On Monday evening Parks and Recreation Commission Chair Bob Willmus was appointed to the <br />Roseville City Council. Willmus fills a vacancy that occurred when Councilmember Tom Kough <br />passed away in March. He will serve a term that runs through December 2008. Willmus is a stay at <br />home dad and a state licensed residential building contractor. He has volunteered extensively at the <br />City of Roseville including on the OVAL task force, Imagine Roseville 2025, Comprehensive Plan <br />Steering Committee, Harriet Alexander Nature Center and other committees and task forces. <br />The Willmus family has a long history in Roseville governance, Bob's great-grandfather Matt <br />Willmus served on the Rose Township board in the early 1900s. His grandfather Ed Will nus served <br />on the Village board in the early 1950s: <br />Willmus was appointed on a 3-0 vote with Councilmember Amy Ihlan abstaining.
