Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged.. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the June 3 d, 2008 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of June 3rd, 2008. Please be prepared to approve or <br />amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of June 3 d, 2008. <br />3. Approval of Minutes of the Meeting of July 1, 2008 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of July 15t, 2008. Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of July 1st, 2008. <br />4. Gale Pederson Recognition <br />Commissioner Gale Pederson has been highly recognized by the Friends of the Parks and <br />Trails of St. Paul and Ramsey County and has received the "Park Citizen of the Year Award'. <br />This is a time for the Commission and the community to recognize Commissioner Pederson for <br />all of her efforts over many years. <br />Requested Commission Action: Recognize and thank Commissioner Pederson. <br />5. Archery Range Presentation and Discussion <br />At your last meeting, John Larsen from BWANA Archery attended your meeting and spoke to <br />the current archery opportunities in the metropolitan area and provided a packet of further <br />information on archery ranges. Some general information that Mr. Larsen provided regarding <br />an archery park has been copied and is included in your packet. <br />Brent and Campbell Huberty, Roseville residents were also present and were prepared to <br />make a further presentation of their particular interest in the potential of Roseville providing an <br />archery range in the future. Because the July 1St meeting was a special meeting designed <br />specifically to receive commission input. on the comprehensive plan, it was suggested Brent <br />attend a future meeting to present his information. Brent will be at the August meeting. <br />Requested Commission Action: Hear presentation, ask questions and offer comments, <br />suggestions, thoughts. <br />6. Comprehensive Plan Committee Update <br />Commissioner Johnson is your representative to the steering committee for the city <br />comprehensive plan update. He will review any committee progress and ask for input and any <br />suggestions and comments. <br />Continued <br />
