i • .� "" � �.` . •' is <br />The purpose of the various Brainstorming sessions was to gather input from community members on <br />topics that should be included in Imagine Roseville 2025, and specifically to create topic categories and <br />associated Subcommittees that could focus on developing goals and strategies. Several hundred people <br />participated in 10 sessions, and nearly a hundred more provided input by phone, via email, at 12 <br />listening sessions hosted by the Subcommittees, and via the Roseville Issues Forum. <br />We did a community -wide "all call" for two Brainstorming sessions, and also hosted sessions targeting <br />specific underrepresented groups, The sessions are listed below <br />• .lune 20: General public <br />• .Tune 21: General public <br />• August 20: Teens (Roseville Lutheran Church youth group) <br />• August 31: Teens (Park and Recreation participants) <br />• August 31: Teens (R-2 Teen Center participants) <br />• July 13: External stakeholders <br />• July 19: External stakeholders <br />• August 4: Newcomers/immigrants and families with children <br />• August 20: Business people <br />• September I I: Rotary Club members (business people) <br />Below is information about how we invited and informed people about the Brainstorming sessions, <br />followed by input compiled from the various groups. The complete list of all participants who signed in <br />at Brainstorming sessions and other Imagine Roseville 2025 events and activities is included in a <br />separate section. <br />Overview for Participants <br />The following overview document was provided to all participants in Brainstorming sessions: <br />Imagine Roseville 2025 is our opportunity to celebrate Roseville and to explore how we can make our <br />community even stronger. This communitywide effort is our chance to clarify our aspirations for <br />Roseville's future. <br />Imagine Roseville 2025 is an inclusive and open process that will draw from all facets of Roseville's <br />community. The process is being guided by a Council -appointed Steering Committee and consultant <br />Anne Carroll. Steering Committee members are Arun Berry, Steve Burwell, Lisa Edstrom, Karl Keel, <br />Bill Majerus, Jim Mulder, and Mark Traynor. <br />In June community members were invited to contribute their ideas on important topics and issues. <br />Through the summer and early fall Steering Committee -appointed Subcommittees will study these key <br />topics. Each Subcommittee will meet several times and host at least two public input sessions. <br />All meetings of the Steering Committee and Subcommittees are open, and schedules, locations, and <br />notes are posted on the City website at www.roseville.ci.mn.us.
