park. With the number of games that are held during the spring, summer and fall months during the
evening, extending into the late hours of the evening, the noise and disruption that would result from
this traffic flow would be of significant damage to the neighborhood safety, privacy, noise and general
quality of life.
Regardless of other concerns I and other residents of these neighborhoods have at the present time,
the potential of having a road constructed along this easement for park access is seriously alarming and
disturbing to me.
This is a private neighborhood and we already have concerns about noise and traffic flow from Cleveland
Avenue. Additionally, the disruptive effect of the proposed United Properties development alone will
add significant stress and disturbance to the neighborhood. A direct road through this neighborhood
would be disastrous. I recognize that the very old Langton lake plans dating back some 20 years has
this as an option. However, there must be other options that can work for both the Park Board and the
citizens of this neighborhood. The citizens want to have you and other members of the city hear our
concerns, and we want to support Langton Lake, but we are concerned that the city is making plans and
establishing directions without seeking input from the community. We respect the Park Board's efforts
in Roseville and the outstanding services that the city provides its citizens, however, we do want to work
cooperatively with the city as stakeholders to find a solution that will work for both the city, United
Properties, and the neighborhood.
Please consider our concerns and keep an open mind to all possibilities.
This issue is deeply important to this neighborhood and I urge you, other members of the Park Board,
and other members of the development committee not to pursue a roadway through this neighborhood.
Respectfully,
Rick Jolley
1990 Brenner Avenue
Roseville, MN 55113
651-638-9930
2
