INTRODUCTION/ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT INVITED <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. NEW YOUTH COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE INTRODUCTION <br />On Monday September 24, 2007 the City Council appointed Ben Kendall as a youth <br />representative to the Parks and Recreation Commission. CONGRATULATIONS! Ben will be <br />introduced and will be given an opportunity to provide a brief background. <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF AUGUST 7, 2007 MEETING <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of August 7, 2007. Please be prepared to approve or <br />amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve or amend minutes of the meeting of August 7, <br />2007. <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 4, 2007 TOUR <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of September 4, 2007 tour. Please be prepared to approve <br />or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve or amend minutes of the meeting of September 4, <br />2007. <br />5. SEPTEMBER TOUR COMMENTS/DISCUSSION <br />In September you took a tour of various sites. If you have any comments, suggestions, etc. <br />please be prepared to share them with the commission. <br />Requested Commission Action: Comments and discussion of tour. <br />6. DEPARTMENT REVIEW <br />Staff will present a review of the current and upcoming recreation programs, services and <br />projects. <br />Requested Commission Action: Comments, questions and suggestions for recreation <br />programs, services and projects. <br />7. MRPA BOARD AND COMMISSION SYMPOSIUM <br />Recall, several months ago the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association was surveying <br />interest from communities on the possibility of holding a symposium for volunteer boards and <br />commissions. Your interest level was high as was other boards and commissions from other <br />communities. Since that time MRPA has been working on putting a program together and have <br />identified March of 2008 as a good time. Assistant Director Jill Anfang (current MRPA Board <br />Member) has been working with MRPA in detail planning. The symposium will be hosted at the <br />Roseville Skating Center. <br />Requested Commission Action: Discussion, questions, suggestions, etc.. <br />
