8. CITY OPEN HOUSE — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13 <br />The City Open House is scheduled for Saturday October 13, 2007 from 10 — 2 p.m. and will <br />take place throughout the City Hall Campus, including the Roseville Skating Center and <br />Maintenance facilities. <br />As a part of the open house, a celebration of the Skating Center project completion is being <br />planned for 11:00 a.m., including a ribbon cutting. You all will receive invitations and I hope all <br />of you can attend. <br />At the open house there will be tables of information set out for citizens to pick up, ask <br />questions about, etc. The open house is a great opportunity for commissioners to be visible in <br />the community and continue to gather comments, suggestions, etc., similar to the "discover <br />your parks" program. Please check your calendars on your availability for this day; to be at the <br />ceremony, mingle with residents, distribute information, eat hot dogs, have fun, etc. <br />Staff will be prepared to give you a brief outline of what is taking place that day and check on <br />your availability. <br />Requested Commissioner Action: Discussion <br />9. HANC PLANNING COMMITTEE UPDATE <br />The HANC planning committee has met six times. Commissioner Brodt Lenz and Willmus are <br />your representatives on the committee and can report on the progress thus far. Commissioner <br />Pederson is on the committee representing Ramsey County and Commissioner Stark <br />represents the Grass Lake Water Shed District. <br />Requested Commission Action: Report and comments <br />10.CHANGE NOVEMBER MEETING DATE <br />Due to the election, your normal first Tuesday of the month meeting in November (6t") will <br />need to be moved. Please check your calendars to see what might work best for everyone. <br />The dates that are currently open in the Council Chambers are Thursday November 8t" and <br />Thursday, November 15th. Of course, you may meet in another room, another day/date and <br />tape delay the meeting as you have done at other remote facilities. <br />Requested Commissioner Action: Select a date for your November Meeting <br />11. DISCUSS JANUARY MEETING DATE <br />Your regular meeting day in January is January 1, 2008. Please be prepared to discuss what <br />you would like to do with this one, either cancel or reschedule.
