Debbie and Rose presented to the group the Master Interpretive Plan for Wetland Education,
which had been produced by Debbie and Carole Gernes, with the assistance of the Advisory
Committee a year or two ago. They described the plan, the process that produced it, and showed the
3-D models for a floating teaching platform and for an interpretive station along the boardwalk.
3. Jill referred to the brainstonning session of a few meetings ago. All the ideas generated were
printed on colored paper and divided into four piles. Each of the four groups decided under which
category to put the idea: Neighborhood Center, Environmental Center, Traditional Nature Center,
and Other. The results were photographed and will be discussed, presumably, at a later time.
4. It was acknowledged that more Committee meetings will be necessary to get everything covered.
This can be accomplished with either more meetings per month for the rest of 2007, or else have
meetings extend into 2008.
Next meeting will be 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, October 25 at City Hall in the Maintenance building.
Minutes respectfully submitted by Nancy Robbins.
