<br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />------- <br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />July 12, 1995 <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Wall moved and Member Sandstrom seconded to recommend <br />approval of variances to lot size and width requirements, but not to the <br />shoreland setback and the sideyard setback. <br /> <br />MOTION: Chairman Wietecki moved and Member Thein seconded to amend the <br />original motion to recommend approval of a 2 foot sideyard setback <br />variance on the north side and a 4 foot sideyard setback on the south side <br />to center the structure between the adjacent structures. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL ON THE AMENDMENT: <br /> <br />Ayes: Wall, Sandstrom, Thein, <br />Rhody, Harms, Wietecki <br />Nays: None. <br />Ayes: Wall, Sandstrom, Thein, <br /> <br />ROLL CALL ON AMENDED MOTION: <br />Wietecki <br /> <br />Nays: Rhody, Harms <br /> <br />Member Rhody indicated that the reason for his negative vote on the Amended Motion <br />was that he felt that the applicant should be given an opportunity to go back and work <br />with the neighbors and to come back with a better plan. Member Harms stated that her <br />reasons for the negative vote were the same as Member Rhody's. <br /> <br />(t) <br /> <br />Planning File 2778: Roseville Good Samaritan Center request for a variance of <br />the zoning ordinance at 1415 West County Road B to allow the construction of an <br />addition to the existing facility. <br /> <br />Chairman Keith Wietecki opened the public hearing and requested Michael Falk to <br />present the background report. <br /> <br />Mr. FaIk pointed out that Good Samaritan Center has previously attempted to obtain a <br />front yard variance to address physical and operational problems with the current facility <br />at 1415 West County Road B. Mr. Falk pointed out that the city council denied the <br />variance and asked Good Samaritan to re-think their approach to updating the facility. <br />City Planner FaIk pointed out that the Good Samaritan Society has now developed an <br />alternative plan to provide an addition to the north and east sides of the north wing of the <br />building. The addition and modification on the north end of the building fills the need for <br /> <br />13 <br />
