Back2round <br /> <br />In 1995, the City ofRoseville constructed the section of Lincoln Drive, between Terrace D . e. <br />and County Road C-2, completing Lincoln Drive rrom County Road C to Lydia. h <br />completion of this street, the West Snelling Avenue Frontage Road was no 10 er nee to <br />provide access to the properties south of County Road C-2 and as a part of the 0 ction <br />project, .the roadway was removed. Consistent with past practice, since the right-of-way for that <br />road is no longer needed by the City, the City is proposing to vacate that right-of-way to <br />adjacent property owners. These owners include the Benjamin's Restaurant, Room and Board, <br />Countryside Restaurant, Health East, and Lido's. Attached to this report are five draft <br />resolutions vacating that portion of the Snelling Avenue Frontage Road right-of-way to the <br />respective land owners. While the City is proposing to vacate this right-of-way to these <br />property owners, the 20 foot light rail and utility easement over the east 20 feet of the property, <br />will remain. <br /> <br />1. The Planning Commission, at the March 13, 1996 meeting, unanimously recommended <br />approval of the City's request to vacate the right-of-way for the W. Snelling Avenue <br />Frontage Road, between County Road C-2 and Terrace Drive. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. With the completion of the Lincoln Drive project, between Terrace Drive and County Road C-2, <br />and the removal ofthe West Snelling Avenue Frontage Road road bed, the right-of-way for the <br />rrontage road is no longer necessary. Therefore, the City ofRoseville is proposing to vacate <br />that right-of-way back to the abutting property owners. It is staff's recommendation that the <br />, Planning Commission recommend approval of the 5 resolutions relating to the vacation of right- <br />of-way for the West Snelling Avenue Frontage Road, between County Road C-2 and Terrace <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: <br /> <br />1, Motion to approve the attached five resolutions regarding the City ofRoseville's request to <br />vacate the right-of-way for tpe W.
