Mr. Kath tells us the hours of operation will be from 5 a,m. until midnight.
can look out my kitchen window and see the old Ace's 66 station on that
corner. There is no privacy fence between my property and the doctor's
office next door and myself and at least 3 neighbors next to me will be
affected by the lights and headlights from this proposed station. As to the
car wash, there will be the constant use of machinery. Mr. Kath assures us
that he will keep the doors closed to cut down on the noise level. If it is like
his car wash on Rice Street or the CONOCO on Lexington and County
Road E, he cannot keep the doors completely closed at the end of the
drying cycle, because the car's hood sticks out the doorway.

It is my hope that you consider all concerns regarding this project before
making your decision. Mr. Kath mentioned in his opening remarks, that the
property has sentimental value to him because he was born and raised
there. My home is important to me, I grew up here and it has been in my
farnity for-forty years;stnce+was eight-years---el(t-This-ts mY-AeigRborhood---
and I have a sentimental attachment to it, also.

I realize that it is Mr. Kath's prerogative to develop his land. I do not want to
stop development of his property, just the development of another gas
station. In this case, it involves changing the Comprehensive Plan and
also changing the zoning. I would not be opposed to the idea of having a
doctor's office, a day' tare center, etc. there or any other business that
would not create the volume of business that he anticipates (between 1000
and 1500 customers a day, according to the figures he shared qt the March
Planning Commission Meeting).

I appreciate your consideration of this matter.

Sincerely yours,

~c.~

--'-- --. -------_._----

- _.~-- ---- --_._- ---- ------- ---- ---

--------------- --...--- --

Christine C.
