<br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />May 8, 1996 <br /> <br />design with a store at the sidewalk level, and pumps and parking hidden from the street. <br /> <br />Member Cunningham stated he voted against the motion because there are already two <br />stations along Lexington Avenue, and it is not in the best interest of the Lexington <br />Avenue corridor. He expressed concern with the addition of business in this area and <br />hoped that the existing businesses could survive. <br /> <br />Member Wietecki stated he voted opposed to this project for the same reasons as <br />Members Rhody and Cunningham, and because the project was too large in scale and did <br />not protect the character of the Lexington A venue Parkway. <br />
