<br />. . <br /> <br />CITY OF ROSEVll..LE <br />DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE BY AMENDING CHAPTER <br />1002 AND 1103 TO ADD MINIMUM ROADWAY STANDARDS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City ofRoseville, Minnesota, does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose. The provisions of the emergency vehicle turn around ordinance shall be <br />minimum requirements adopted to protect the public health, safety, morals, comfort and general <br />welfare of the people. It shall provide minimum design standards for public and private roadways to <br />maintain safe access for emergency vehicles. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 1002.02 Definitions of the City Code, shall be amended to add the following <br />definitions: <br /> <br />Emergency Vehicle Any vehicle that is used for the preservation of the health, safety, and <br />welfare of the residents, property owners, visitors, workers, and <br />property ofRoseville. <br /> <br />Roadway A driving surface made for vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />Street Width The shortest distance measured between the face of curb and the face <br />of curb. <br /> <br />Cul-de-sac Any minor street of no more than 500 feet having one open end, and <br />being permanently terminated at the other end by a vehicular <br />turnaround. <br /> <br />Street R.O.W. The property dedicated for the construction of the street, sidewalks, <br />and utilities. Property located between property lines of a public <br />street. <br /> <br />Section 3. Section 1103.021 is hereby added as follows: <br /> <br />Minimum Roadway Standards: The following minimum dimensional standards shall apply to all <br />existing City and private roadways when newly constructed or reconstructed. All streets must be <br />constructed to a width no less than 24 feet for the purpose of emergency vehicle access. The <br />minimum clear width of any emergency access roadway shall be 20 feet. <br /> <br />A. Signage Requirements: ''No parking" signs shall be installed in accordance to the following: <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
