<br />10. If access roadways are ~ looped, then the provided dead-end access <br />roadways shall meet the requirements as specified in the following <br />table and diagram: <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR DEAD-END ACCESS WAYS <br /> <br /> <br />ROSEVILLE FIRE DEPART}ffiNT <br /> <br />UNIFORM FIRE CODE POLICY - ACCESS ROADWAYS <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />1. All buildings having an exterior wall located over 150 feet from the <br />curb line of a dedicated public street shall be provided with fire <br />department access ways which shall be totally unobstructed, including <br />the parking of motor vehicles. <br /> <br />2. The 150 feet from required access roadway to all exterior walls of <br />buildings shall be measured in a straight line and shall run through <br />all buildings and other obstructions. If topographical conditions <br />exist that would make it impossible for hose lines to be advanced to <br />a certain portion of a building from a required access way, an addi- <br />tional access way will be required to accommodate access to that <br />particular portion of the building. <br /> <br />3. The fire department access may be modified if the building is provided <br />with an approved complete automatic sprinkler system or other approved <br />automatic protection. <br /> <br />4. Required access roadways shall be kept a minimum of 26 feet in width <br />in the immediate vacinity of any building over 35 feet in height above <br />natural final grade. At least one require access roadway shall be <br />located within a minimum of 15 feet and a maximum of 25 feet from the <br />building and shall be positioned parallel to one entire side of the <br />building. <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Adjacent to required fire hydrants, access roadways shall be a minimum <br />of 24 feet in width, 20 feet in both directions from the fire hydrant. <br /> <br />6. Access doors shall be provided every 100 feet or openings as specified <br />in Section 3802(b)1 (1982 Edition) of the Uniform Building Code on the <br />exterior walls of buildings along required access ways. <br /> <br />7. Required access roadways shall be required on two sides of a building <br />when the width of the building exceeds 150 feet and the length exceeds <br />150 feet. <br /> <br />8.
