<br />SECTION 6 - SURVEYS AND CONSTRUCTION STAKES <br /> <br />The Engineer will furnish and set stakes as necessary for the <br />Contractor in order that he may construct the work to the proper <br />grade and alignment. <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />The Contractor shall carefully preserve bench marks, reference <br />points and construction stakes. In the event of willful or careless <br />destruction of stakes, he shall be charged with the resulting expense <br />of replacement and shall be responsible for any mistakes that may be <br />caused by their loss or disturbance. <br /> <br />.1 <br /> <br />SECTION 7 - CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />'j <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7.1 CONTRACTORS SUPERVISION & SUPERINTENDENCE <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />The Contractor will supervise and direct the work efficiently with <br />his best skill and attention. He will be soley responsible for the <br />methods, sequences, and procedures of construction. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />The Contractor will provide suitably qualified personnel to perform <br />the construction as required by the Contract Documents. He will at <br />all times maintain good discipline and order among his employees at <br />the project site. The Contractor will keep a competent superintendent <br />on his job during its progress. The superintendent will represent the <br />Contractor, and all directions given to him shall be binding on the <br />Contractor. Important directions will immediately be confirmed in <br />writing to the Contractor. Other directions will be confirmed on <br />written request in each case. Unless' otherwise provided, the Contractor <br />will be responsible for keeping daily records of all underground <br />utility locations, and materials delivered that are incorporated in <br />the work. All records will be furnished on a timely basis so that <br />sufficient time is allowed for verification by the Engineer. <br /> <br />'I <br />1 <br /> <br />J <br />') <br />1 <br />1 <br />J <br /> <br />7.2 - MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR <br /> <br />The Contractor will provide and pay for all materials, equipment, <br />labor, contruction equipment and machinery, fuel, transportation, <br />power, heat, light, telephone, water and all other facilities <br />necessary for the execution and completion of the work. Unless other- <br />wise stipulated, all materials will be new and of good quality. The <br />Contractor will, if required, furnish satisfactory evidence as to the <br />kind and quality of.materials. <br /> <br />7.3 SUBCONTRACTORS <br /> <br />The Contractor will, prior to execution of the Contract Agreement, <br />submit to the Engineer in writing the names of all proposed sub- <br />contractors for the work.
